5 Reasons to come to the Innotech Summit

Tickets are selling fast this year, and as an official media partner, we’ll be there covering the event on the 26th April.

There’s a packed schedule already announced, here’s our top reasons why you should come to the 2013 Innotech Summit

1. Watch Boris talk tech

The Mayor of London headlined Innotech last year and is back again this year in full force.

This time round he’ll be rounding off the day with his personal thoughts on the future for the capital’s tech scene.

We’ll be broadcasting Boris’ very first Google Hangout, to venture capitalists in San Francisco and Los Angeles, on our Innotech livestream page.

2. London’s most promising startups at City Meets Tech

Watch some of the capital’s finest startups battle it out in a lightening pitch round, hosted by City Meets Tech.

Early stage, disruptive companies will take part in what we expect to be one of the biggest highlights of the day. Apply to take part in the session here.

3. Hear from Rohan Silva – the man behind Tech City

Rohan Silva came up with the original concept of Tech City in June 2010, and is already working on the next round of policies that will define London’s tech scene.

At this year’s summit he’ll discuss the impact of the government’s policies on technology.

4. Big Data game changers

Import.io’s David White, Jacqui Taylor of Flying Bynary and Will Lovegrove, founder of datownia will come together to discuss Big Data, one of the biggest tech trends of 2013.

We’re particularly excited to hear more from Import.io after their recent £600k seed round.

5. Find out if London’s ready for tech IPOs

After the London Stock Exchange announced its new high growth segment there’s been a lot of discussion about whether London is ready for the next wave of tech IPOs.

LSE’s Marcus Stuttard, Simon Clark from Fidelity Partners and Mike Bracken from Digital for Government will discuss what’s needed to make the capital a more attractive environment for IPOs.
