Welcome to the 12th episode of the Elevator Pitch series 5!
Every week we publish a 30-second pitch from our Elevator Pitch winners.
These startups, chosen by a panel of expert judges for their potential to change the world, join an alumni group that includes the likes of YPlan, Hassle, import.io and Glow, and have raised more than $86m to-date.
In this series, we took the founders on a ride unlike any other for the most exciting pitch of their lives.
Streamlined scheduling
This week, we have employee scheduling software provider RotaGeek, which aims to cure businesses’ rota-related headaches.
The online platform enables employers to create and manage shift templates. It also operates a mobile app, allowing employees to easily view their shifts, request swaps and ask for time off.
Cost savings
RotaGeek uses company data – be it predicted footfall, or employee preferences and availability – to optimise scheduling.
Back in October, the company revealed it had helped its largest client, telecoms provider O2, save £2.5m by redistributing staff hours across its 270 retail stores.
RotaGeek also works with the likes of the NHS, as well as a variety of smaller clients.
At the Elevator Pitch Awards, held last month, the team received the Most Disruptive Startup and Standout Success accolades.
