Tech City News has touched down on American soil and will be your eyes and ears at South by Southwest (SXSW) for the next week.
We’re based in Hackney House Austin, a specially-created 6,000 square feet space alongside the festival, over 30 Hackney-based businesses.
While the SXSW Interactive features the likes of Edward Snowden and Julian Assange, our coverage – – will be focusing on what London is bringing to the party.

Lessons from the past
On Saturday, the Victoria and Albert Museum leads Collecting the Future at SXSW, a discussion and exhibition on what should be saved now for history lessons of the future.
The V&A will be writing for us on the creation of digital design, and what the future may hold.
Here East
Here East is the new name for iCity, the 1.2 million sq ft campus on London Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to combine business, technology, media, education and data in the pursuit of innovation.
They present two panel debates on Sunday, featuring the likes of Rohan Silva – to coincide with this, we’ll be publishing a guest column from the people behind Here East, on their plans for the project’s future.
Millenial Mentoring programme
And on Monday, students from Hackney’s and Austin’s Community Colleges show and discuss the Millenial Mentoring programme and have their say along with a panel of business supporters.
We’ll be publishing our interviews with the students themselves on the programme’s worked for them.
