Java software engineer
Old Street, London – Full Time, Permanent
Candidate profile
- Computer science degree from a leading university with 5+ years experience
- Experience in Java/JavaEE, JSF, MySQL, Hibernate ORM, Javascript, JQuery, HTML5, CSS3, Apache Tomcat, Maven, Unix/Linux, Ajax and Git
- Experience with ecommerce platforms, building SEO friendly web applications and Hadoop, OLAP, or other business intelligence tools is a must
- Familiarity with CMS systems (Drupal, OpenCMS, etc)

The role
- Running external communications for MyBeautyCompare (Social Media, Competitions, Newsletters)
- Image sourcing and designing for our marketing channels
- Partnership, press and key influencers outreach
- Creating new initiatives for building our audience and brand awareness
- Adhoc tasks and industry research
Candidate profile
- 1st language English
- An energetic positive person with a creative flair
- A proactive self starter who is eager to learn and who has a very strong eye for detail
- Excellent written (grammar, spelling and tone) and communication skills
- A visible interest in beauty and fashion
- Previous digital marketing and design experience, preferably in beauty or fashion
- Photoshop, InDesign or Illustrator
- Blogging experience (bonus)

- Researching and keeping up to date with beauty news

Candidate profile
- English as first language with a flair for creative writing
