Each week we trawl through the internet’s jumble sale of apps to bring you a cool, new app that will make your life better.
This week’s download of the week is Pingtune, a music sharing app available on iOS and Android.
‘The Human Music Network’
Launched 8 months ago, PingTune lets you send music or snippets of music to any of your friends.
For example, you hear a new Ed Sheeran song and you love it (who wouldn’t?) so you select the chorus, send it to your friends, and they can play it straight from the apps.
Or, you hear you girl Beyonce’s new jam and you really want to share it with your besties, now you can.
You can reply with text, your own song, or just share the song on Facebook and Twitter.
Connecting with artists
The app also lets you connect with an increasing number of your favourite musicians.
A number of artists and labels now use PingTune as a method of sharing music directly with their fans.
Even better, earlier this year, grime legend Lethal Bizzle premiered his new single Rari Workout to all his fans straight on PingTune.
London-based
Less than a year old, the London-based startup now has a team 16 strong.
Founder and CEO Henry Firth says its user-base is growing faster than even he expected.
For all music fans out there, this is definitely an app for you.
