A look inside Level39

Level39, London’s latest accelerator has opened its doors. Take a look around and see what’s on offer on the 39th floor of Canary Wharf’s One Canada Square

Read our earlier post covering Level 39’s launch with London’s Mayor, Boris Johnson.

The reception and lobby at Level39. Instantly you’re met with a bright, open space to explore the rest of the floor.

What’s on offer at the new Level39 incubator: a variety of workspaces and lounges to attract Fintech, retail-tech and smart cities startups. London-based Gensler were behind the branding and design.

The event space, with easily enough room for a few hundred people, has “arguably the best view in London” and will be one of the key spaces in the upcoming InnoTech summit.

The old ceiling has been ripped open to expose the pipes and lighting fixtures and gives the whole space a very modern, more open feel compared to your normal Canary Wharf office space.

As well as the shared workspaces, there’s a pantry where you can grab a coffee from the iPad controlled coffee machine and take a break and catch up with fellow startups. Watch the iPad coffee machine in action here.

But if you want to get away from everyone else, there are four sandboxes that give you and your colleagues a little bit of privacy to work on your next big thing.

At the end of the day, if the pantry isn’t cutting it, the member’s bar, Club Lounge39, offers the opportunity to kick back and have a drink while meeting angel investors and venture capitalists, all while taking in the views in a reclining leather armchair. Not bad, not bad at all.
