HR tech startup Humaans has raised $15m (£13.1m) in a funding round in support of its employee data management platform.

London-based Humaans acts as a centralised platform for employee data. Users can customise the functions within their own stack rather than using a ‘one size fits all’ system.

The platform can be used to keep track of contracts, reporting, and employee performance data.

“Work has changed in fundamental ways, and we’re building tools to help companies embrace these changes,” said Humaans co-founder and CEO Giovanni Luperti.

“People teams are the company’s best strategic advantage, but only if they’re able to build the systems and processes to fuel its success.”

Luperti said that the funding round will “accelerate Humaans’ expansion into the European market and enable us to further invest into product and engineering”.

The funding was led by Lachy Groom with participation from Exor and Exponent Founders Capital.

The new investment round saw also participation from high-profile founders, such as Slack’s Stewart Butterfield and Shopify’s Tobias Lütke.

“Humaans has the world-class product team to build the people stack needed for world-class organizations today and are willing to play on longer time horizons than most to create a meaningful business.”

Leadership teams today are facing an ever more complex stack of tools to manage their organizations and get the most out of their teams. Humaan’s vision to become a data platform to power the entire people’s infrastructure is bold, and I’m excited to support the company in achieving its mission.”

Humaans previously raised £3.5m in March 2021.
