This year’s Elevator Pitch LIVE competition is only a day away, and so, with this in mind, we thought we’d tell you a little bit more about the exciting PropTech startups that will be pitching.
The competition – our annual quest to find the top rising stars in UK technology – is sponsored by Kreston Reeves, Cisco, Stirling Ackroyd, EY and Digital Radish and will see 15 shortlisted startups pitch to a room full of entrepreneurs, investors and industry heavyweights.
Here are the top three UK PropTech startups pitching tomorrow:
SPCE
This London-based company connects the higher education community with university-specific student rental properties.
As well as partnering with six of the Top 20 UK universities and raising over £280,000 in crowdfunding, SPCE says it’s pre-onboarded more than 10,000 students along with the entire property portfolio of Hines and The University of Surrey.
The company sets out to provide the digital tools necessary to make it easy and inexpensive for students to build healthy relationships with their peers, roommates and landlords.
Doordeck
Doordeck’s mission is to replace keycards, fobs and access passes with the one card everybody’s already carrying: their smartphone.
Since being founded in October 2015, Doordeck has worked closely with Cisco and recently became a sole access control partner at their new co-working space in Manchester.
The company says its app is currently one of the most advanced and secure keyless solutions on the market – working with ANY electronic lock and secured with ‘bank-level’ two-factor authentication.
Acasa
With £1.5m raised to date, Acasa is developing the future of stress-free home management by building foundational technology that runs the home.
The app allows users to set up, switch and purchase utilities and on-demand services, as well as track household spending and split any shared costs.
Acasa has built partnerships with several challenger service providers to help renters live better together, allowing it to provide fast internet and 100% renewable electricity.
