Conor O’Niell is the founder of Bristol-based OnSecurity, a cybersecurity startup developing software that makes businesses less likely to be targeted by cyber-criminals.
The “single source of security for modern, tech-enabled businesses” provides penetration tests for computer systems, networks, and web applications.
These tests involve simulating a cyberattack and identifying vulnerabilities in computer systems to pinpoint weak points that need addressing. OnSecurity noted that the pentesting market is on the rise, with global annual spending estimated at £4bn.
With 45 employees, the business also automates the manual processes of booking, scheduling, and reporting security tests.
Founded in 2019, it has secured £5.5m in investment since its launch, with £4m in revenue so far.
O’Niell runs the startup with his co-founders Dave Hewson, Adam Luxford, and Tom Lindley. They all met while working on a large-scale pentesting project in the Middle East....
